Asha for Education, Silicon Valley started the original marathon fundraising program in 2000 which turned out to be one of the most successful fundraising programs in Asha's history.

In 2003, Asha MIT/Boston chapter had its first marathon program in the Boston area

In 2004, both Asha and AID chapters in Boston had their second marathon program where we worked together but had a seperate website and ran our own program.Asha 2004 Marathon Program: Harbingers Of Hope 2004 . AID 2004 Marathon Program: Race For Development 2004

In 2005,  Boston/MIT chapters of Asha for education and AID decided to join hands together and work towards an annual fundraising program. About 20 runners successfully completed marathons in Washington DC, Chicago and New York and helped raise over $50,000 for the TeamAIDAsha program.TeamAIDAsha 2005 Marathon Program: TeamAIDAsha 2005

In 2006, Boston/MIT chapters of Asha For Education and AID teamed up to bring our very successful annual fundraiser - TeamAIDAsha 2006.TeamAIDAsha 2006 Marathon Program: TeamAIDAsha 2006 . We’ve successfully introduced the Half-marathon program for the first time.

In 2007, Boston/MIT chapters of Asha For Education and AID  have teamed up again for our fifth year for a marathon and a half marathon annual fundraiser program - TeamAIDAsha 2007 marathon program: TeamAIDAsha 2007 

In 2008, Boston/MIT chapters of Asha For Education and AID have teamed up for our sixth year for a marathon and a half marathon annual fundraiser program - TeamAIDAsha 2008 marathon program: TeamAIDAsha 2008
