Covid-19 Information
Following the recommendations from CDC in 2020 March, we are postponing all of our in-person trainings and meetups until Covid-19 issues are resolved.
It is still a good idea for us to stay active and healthy. We are opening a virtual training club for anyone interested to virtually run with us. Whether you are a beginner walker/jogger or an experienced runner, you are welcome to join this virtual club to motivate each other to stay active, no strings attached. Testimonials
"One of my highlights of the year 2016 was training with TeamAIDAsha for the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC. In the beginning I did not have faith that I could run 26 miles. But, following the advice of our coach and veteran runners helped me every step of the way. The training regime was flexible and accommodating of minor setbacks, recoveries and short absences. I couldn't have asked for a better and more positive experience while training for my first marathon. Thanks to TeamAIDAsha, I am now a runner for life!" - Vidhya
"My only experience in recreational running was occasional sprint to catch a bus, so signing up to run for a marathon seemed like a stretch too far. However, with great support from the team and coach, this was a great experience and pinnacle of my athletic career." - Rajeev

Running for a causeWhether you are a beginner or experienced runner, you can try out our group training runs under our coach for a few days before you formally sign up for the fundraising program. Our group training runs are normally on Saturday mornings in Cambridge/Somerville/Arlington running trails. Running a marathon is one of the most exhilarating experiences that one can endure. AID and Asha have trained many first-time runners to complete marathons and in the process have raised funds for education and sustainable development projects in India. You can learn more about our program here.
