What is AID or Asha?
AID and Asha are two voluntary non-profit organizations committed to promoting education, sustainable, equitable and just development in India, by working with grassroots organizations and movements in India. AID and Asha support and initiate efforts in various interconnected spheres such as education, livelihoods, natural resources, health, women's empowerment and social justice. What percentage of my donation will go to the projects?
Both AID and ASHA are a 100% volunteer driven non-profit organization. All your donation amount is used to fund the projects supported by AID and ASHA.
What is the minimum amount I need to donate ?
There is no minimum. You can donate as much or as little as you want. It would be really nice and encouraging if you can donate at-least $50 or more. If you are a student or currently between jobs etc., we are happy to receive any amount and your support.
Why should I donate ? I don't see a link between you running and I making a donation
You can think in this way: instead of donating some amount to an organization blindly, you are donating the amount because someone you know believes in that organization's projects and doing some thing very challenging to raise funds for that organization.
What difference can a donation of $x make ?
Impact your donations can make in India:
$500 – Can completely take care of a ten year old child until she graduates from high school.
$250 – Helps train hundreds of rural men and women in making clothes, using a bank and more
$100 – Helps educate hundred rural pregnant women on infant health
$50 – Helps a rural farmer start his own business
$25 – Takes care of education and living of one child for one month
